History
Frank Lebkuchen was founded in 1865. The confectioner Friedrich Frank from the Franconia forest came to Arzberg for launching his own confectionery in the downtown area. He spoiled the inhabitants with a multiplicity of sweets and distinguished himself by baking an amazing delicious gingerbread. After him Christof Frank took over the responsibility of the confectionary and with his son, Willibald Frank, he built up the range of products. By and by many other sweets were manufactured manually (e.g. cookies, candies, ...). |
Until the beginning of the eighties his successor Friedrich Frank carried on with the product diversification. Years later he specialised on the manufacture of Elisen-gingerbreads on wafers and rebuilt the crafted firm to a modern industrial fabrication Nowadays after almost 150 years the firm is still remaining in the familial property. The fifth generation bakes gingerbreads with the same ingredients for recipe and diligence like founder Friedrich Frank in former times. |
With the new building in 1996 the essential conditons for the future were generated: By means of a well arranged production an essential rationalization the firm is well prepared for your wishes and individual needs. Since then the fifth generation, Helmut und Dieter Frank, together with senior partner Friedrich Frank have been caring for the product quality and developing successful product innovations. |
